Primary Care

Patient Centered Medical Homes improve the care  patients receive by offering enhanced access to care and increased Primary Care Manager continuity, and by promoting patient- and family-centered evidence-based health care.

Patient Centered Medical Homes allow providers and patients to take a more proactive approach to health care, with a stronger focus on prevention. The medical home can reduce the percentage of specialty referrals and result in a PCMH team providing the needed care in one visit.

Schedule an Appointment

Call the appointment line (785) 239-3627, Option #1, Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Beneficiaries can also visit TRICARE Online to view and schedule available appointments.

The Nurse Advice Line can also help make an appointment with Primary Care during non-business hours. Talk directly with a registered nurse 24/7 at 1-800-TRICARE (874-2273).

Fast Track Care

The 1st Team Nurse Clinic offers more convenient appointment options and more time with the Healthcare Team for patient education and coaching. The clinic provides basic medical diagnoses and treatments for common conditions or symptoms. Age limits apply.

Urgent Care

If you have a non-emergent condition, the Extended Care Clinic accepts walk-ins Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. and Saturday & Sunday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. The ECC is co-located with the Emergency Department.

Emergency Care

If you require emergency care, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. IACH's Emergency Department is available 24/7. Be advised the ED does not provide medical advice or estimated wait times to be seen over the phone.

Talk with a Nurse

Talk directly with a registered nurse 24/7 for medical advice or help finding urgent care by calling 1-800-TRICARE (874-2273).

Proof of Eligibility of Minors

Proof of eligibility of a minor aged 10 or older is required for medical care services at Irwin Army Community Hospital. If proof of eligibility is not provided within 30 days of service date, the patient will be billed as a non-beneficiary.

A valid ID card and enrollment in DEERS will establish beneficiary status of a minor. Parents can obtain an ID card from the Fort Riley ID Card Center, 212 Custer Ave. on Main Post, in the west wing of the basement, Room B01.

The ID Card Center operates on an appointment only system. Appointments can be scheduled online at the RAPIDS site or call (785) 239-3654 for assistance.

The Center is open Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.; and every other Friday 7:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. For questions, call DEERS/ID Card Chief (785) 239-3654 or 239-3698.
