Behavioral Health
The Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) provides comprehensive and quality mental health and substance abuse services to military personnel and their dependents. The programs and services that we provide are designed to meet the distinctive needs of each set of circumstances surrounding that individual. We are staffed by with a diverse personnel of social workers, psychiatrist, psychologist, and counselors. We are committed to making available services that are responsive and accessible to the soldiers of Fort Riley and the surrounding areas.

Better Sleep Program:
This weekly group provides essential information about the biology of sleep, the impact of habits and lifestyle choices, and tips to make real improvements to your sleep. Participants may self-refer. Call 785-240-7472/7471 to make an appointment.

Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation Group
This unique alternative to medication is FDA-approved to treat insomnia, depression and anxiety. To learn more about the treatment, visit www.alpha-stim.com. Service Members may participate by referral from existing Behavioral Health provider only. Call 785-240-7472/7471 to make an appointment.

Compassionate Hearts Prenatal Loss Group
This group supports Service Members and spouses in a compassionate environment as they journey through the unique process of grieving prenatal loss. This group meets the second Tuesday of each month in the IACH Chapel on the 2nd floor. Contact the Chaplain's office for more information: 785-239-7872.

Anger Management Group
This weekly group provides helpful tools and support for Service Members struggling with anger issues. The group meets Wednesday for four consecutive sessions. Participants may self-refer. Call 785-240-7472/7471 to make an appointment.

Stress Management Group Services
This weekly group delivers helpful information on stress and its impact on work and relationships and provides training on easy-to-use, relaxation techniques. Participants may self-refer. Call 785-240-7472/7471 to make an appointment.

Offerings: Individual and marital therapy is available for Service Members assigned to Farrelly Health Clinic Medical Home. Psychiatric medication management is available to Service Members at IACH by referral from existing provider. Appointments may be scheduled by contacting the appropriate clinic by phone or visiting the location in person. Dependent spouses are invited to select a network provider on TriWest Online .
FHC Groups and Programs
  • Combat Resolve: Benefit from peer support and learn valuable tools to manage combat stress symptoms in this weekly group. Participants must be post-deployment and referred by existing provider so talk with your therapist or psychiatrist about a referral. Open to all brigades.
  • Anger Relapse Prevention: This weekly group provides helpful education and group discussion to address post-deployment issues, including problems with anger and irritability, sleep, family concerns and other experiences. Participants must be post-deployment and referred by existing provider so talk with your therapist or psychiatrist about a referral. Open to all brigades.

    Family Advocacy Program - Intervention Contact Information and Programs

    Offerings: Individual and marital therapy may be offered on as-needed basis, in addition to other treatment groups and recommendations.
    FAP Groups and Programs
  • Choices for change: This group provides support and helpful information for female victims of domestic violence. This open group continues for 18 consecutive sessions and requires FAP referral. Contact FAP at 785-239-7060 for more information.
  • Relationship Management Group: This engaging support group is open to all male soldiers who have been involved with domestic violence. The open group consists of 18 consecutive sessions, but requires a referral from FAP provider. Contact FAP at 785-239-7060 for more information.
