The following appointments are available to Primary Care patients:
Same dayacute illness, injury, or worsening conditions
Routinechronic illness or new medical problem for 2 weeks or more

Important Reminders
  • Non-prime patients will be seen on a space available basis. They will be need to call (785) 239-DOCS (3627) or 1-888-239-DOCS (3627) after 1430 hours to check on the availability of appointments for that day.

  • Well Baby: Used to ensure children receive appropriate immunizations, growth and development and medical care during the first 18 months of life. The well baby appointments will done in the Well Baby Clinic on the first floor of the hospital.

  • Two week well baby appointments are seen by the Pediatricians in their assigned Primary Care Clinic. Appointments are made prior to the baby being discharged either through the Patient Assistance Desk or by calling 239-DOCS (3627). Babies must be between the ages of 10-21 days for this appointment.

  • Patients age 17 and younger must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian in accordance with FR MEDDAC 40-16, Consent by Patients for Medical Care. Exceptions are as follows: they are an emancipated adult or they are requesting treatment for a sexually transmitted disease, drug abuse or addiction, mental health, or treatment or procedures for emergency care for 16 years of age or older where no parent or guardian is immediately available. The child can be accompanied by anyone over the age of 18 with a notarized medical power of attorney signed by the parent or guardian. This can be obtained from the Customer Service Advocate (CSA) or JAG.
