Self-Care Program

Feeling achy, sniffly or sneezy?

Instead of purchasing cold or pain medications from a local retail store, visit your IACH Pharmacy and pick up these items at no cost to you, without an appointment to see your provider. It’s as easy as having an OTC Self-Care card.

The Self-Care program allows beneficiaries to request up to three over-the-counter medicine items per eligible family member, per month. Some of these medications include Acetaminophen (Tylenol), Mucinex, Ibuprofen, Loratadine (Claritin), sunscreen and many others. Stop by the pharmacy to obtain the full list and speak to a pharmacist about the program.

Read the OTC Drug Therapy slides. After reviewing the slides, take the Self-Care Online OTC Quiz. Bring a copy of your passing test results to obtain an OTC medication card. For patient safety, the Pharmacy team may advise individuals to schedule an appointment with their provider.
