IACH Support Community Guidelines
The IACH Support Community is a Google Groups-based service provided as a public website to help beneficiaries ask questions and share their knowledge. Please abide by the Community Guidelines below to keep this safe, supportive, inclusive and respectful. If a member posts an error of fact or inappropriate content, the IACH Support Community management team will review the post and use policy criteria to determine whether the posting should: 1. remain posted, 2. remain posted with editorial comment added, or 3. be removed permanently.
Moderators monitor the messages posted by IACH Support Community members to check for information that could be misleading or harmful. We do not edit or remove messages or ban members without good reason. Views expressed in this community are solely the views of the members and do not represent professional recommendations, policy or advice of Irwin Army Community Hospital.
The messages you post show up right away. We don’t screen them before they go live. While we monitor all posts, we also rely on our members to tell us about any inappropriate content or behavior. Moderating this way means that we can keep the community running 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so that support is available when you need it. If you see a post that you think is inappropriate, please report it immediately.
Do not give out medical advice
Sharing your own experience is fine, but don't tell other members what they should do.
See IACH's Disclaimer below.
Remain respectful at all times.
Exercise tolerance and respect toward other participants whose views may differ from your own. Disagreements are fine, but mutual respect is a must. Realize that sarcasm and joking will often be misunderstood. Personal attacks against members or health care providers are not acceptable. Such posts will be removed.
Do not use obscene or hateful language. Profanity, vulgarity and abusive language are out-of-bounds. Avoid typing in ALL CAPS, as it is considered shouting. No commercial postings, advertisements or solicitations. Postings such as advertisements for your business, get-rich-quick schemes or solicitations for a charity will be removed. Unfortunately, it is impossible to verify the validity of each and every organization that solicits donations; therefore, to protect you from fraud, we must prohibit solicitations for charities.
