Irwin Army Community Hospital and the American Red Cross invites the Fort Riley community to participate in the Value of Life Art Exhibition & Competition 2019. Artistic participants are challenged to visually express the answer to: what inspires YOU…to LIVE?
Artwork will be exhibited on IACH’s second floor balcony area Sept. 3 – 20. Images of all pieces will be displayed on IACH’s Instagram during the final five days for community voting. The winner of the competition will be on interviewed on video for posting.
To ensure we can accommodate space, participants must indicate intentions to submit artwork no later than July 30 to firstname.lastname@example.org. E-mail should include four items.
An opening reception is scheduled for Sept. 3, 4:30 p.m. Consider attending this one-hour reception so can talk about your artwork to attendees.
Two weeks before the start of the exhibition, participants must send an image of their proposed artwork for review by the Value of Life working group. Images will be screened for appropriateness, size, and priority of display. If the number of pieces exceed the space capacity of the second floor balcony, the working group will draft a plan to rotate the exhibition of the pieces.
All artwork will be openly displayed without guarantee of safety. Although the exhibit is on the second floor of the hospital, IACH is open to any visitor who can enter Fort Riley. Some risk of vandalism, accident, or theft of artwork property is associated with this project.
